Welsh and Cambria Cups 2012-13
Congratulations to Filip Kurbalija, Diane Kurbalija, Paul Denning and Patrick Shields who beat Jean Hand's team on 11th June to win this year's Cambria Cup. Cambria Cup draw
The final of the Welsh Cup will be between the Kurbalija and Tedd teams on Sunday July 7th. Welsh Cup draw.

Insurance cover for Club Officers
The Welsh Bridge Union has extended its Officers Liability Insurance to cover post holders at all affiliated Clubs. This added benefit is automatic and the cost is borne by the WBU. Further details

Bridge Behaviour
A recurring theme from the members' survey in 2011 was concern that enjoyment of the game can be compromised by the poor behaviour of a minority of players. The WBU Management Committee has adopted this policy:
We will promote a playing environment which, by improving attitudes and behaviour at bridge, promotes enjoyment of the game by players of all standards.

Internationals
The Teltscher Trophy (home seniors internationals) was in Cardiff on 17-19 May 2013. Six teams played, including many world and European champions. The Welsh team was Liz Atkinson & Chris Rochelle, Geoff Evans & Philip Felman, Patrick Jourdain & Gary Jones with John Salisbury as NPC. After 7 of the 10 matches Wales were lying second, but then it was steeply downhill. Scotland overtook Northern Ireland right at the end to take the trophy. The event website. Results. Trial results.

The 2013 Camrose Trophy was in Ireland (N then S).
