Bridge Behaviour

People’s enjoyment can be compromised by the poor behaviour of a minority of other players. This concern featured in the questionnaires which our members completed in 2010-11. The WBU Management Committee set up a working party whose report is being published here for discussion and comment. The report discusses a number of issues and what could be done to improve matters.

Please send your comments on the report to Mike Tedd by the end of May. Revised in the light of comments then received, it is likely to be adopted as WBU policy on bridge behaviour.

The Lady Milne - Another Splendid Result for Wales

Wales hosted the Lady Milne on 13-15 April in the Metropole. The main Welsh team finished a close second to the strong Scots, with a score that would have won in each of the previous three years, and were a full match ahead of Ireland and England.

Our team was Linda Greenland & Aida Aris, Sue Ingham & Laura Woodruff, Jill Casey & Diane Kurbalija with NPC Adrian Thomas. The other Welsh team of Val Kennewell & Margaret Lane, Jill Knight & Joan Murray, Gilly Clench & Lee Collier with NPC Di Harris will be disappointed by their score but strengthened by the experience.

Congratulations to all involved in staging a fault-free event, superbly organised by Jean Cufley. Full details at Neville's website for information and results. Photos of the leading teams

Tournament Director Courses

Neville has arranged a TD course in Cardiff on 2-3 June, and (if demand justifies it) will arrange a more advanced course in Swansea the same weekend. More details.
